At The Rabbit House Rescue, we are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned, neglected, and/or abused domestic rabbits. Our goal is to not only provide a safe haven for these bunnies, but to continue in educating the public about everything RABBIT!

On Mar. 13, 2026 we received a call about 21 rabbits in 6 cages that had been left in a rental cargo van after the owner was pulled over and taken to the hospital in Spanish Fort, Al.

While these rabbits began their journey from Florida, they were pulled over on Wednesday in Alabama. The van was taken to an impound lot while they tried to find someone to take the rabbits. It wasn't unit Friday, 3 DAYS later, that we were called and stepped in to save these guys who were in dire circumstances.

While we are a 501c3 nonprofit tax exempt rescue, 21 rabbits double the capacity we currently care for. This latest rescue is a huge jump for us, but there is no way we could turn our backs on these guys. We kindly ask you to join us in helping support these guys as we continue to give them the love, food, shelter, and medical care they so desperately need.
Happy Adoption to Marble!
Check out just a few of our rabbits that have been spayed or neutered and are waiting for their fur-ever home! We also are listed on Petfinder. We have over 50 rabbits in our care, with new ones coming in everyday. So please be patient as we work to get them updated here.

Your generous donations help us rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abused and abandoned rabbits. Every dollar makes a difference in providing food, shelter, and medical care. Join us in making a positive impact on their lives.
Rabbits breed at an unprecedented rate. Did you know it only takes 28 days from conception to birth, and bunnies can have well over 10 babies per litter? And the doe can get pregnant right after birth? Spaying and neutering is a vital part of our mission. Please consider sponsorship for a bun in need or donate ANY amount to help reduce the bun overpopulation.

We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
